I'm Maryam, the founder of Namazi Mat. The idea for this prayer mat came to me two years ago during Ramadan when I noticed my mother placing her regular prayer mat over a yoga mat before standing for her long night prayers. When I asked her why, she explained that the extra padding made it easier to pray for extended periods without discomfort.

As her eldest child, I felt it was my responsibility to help. I started thinking—what if there was a way to combine the comfort of a yoga mat with the sacredness of a prayer mat? This simple question led to the creation of Namazi Mat, designed to make prayer more comfortable while honoring our spiritual traditions.
